Garfish, I see you to be a fishaholic like myself. I saw your post regarding lures and not much response. I'm bringing two light tackle spinning with 12lb test which should do the trick for myself and the kids. Lures are rattletraps, yurzi swimming plugs, some jigs and metals. We'll definitely do a guide one day but I'm looking for some area to do it wading on our own. Let me know if you have any other fishing related info that would help. Thanks
Joe

Glad I'm not the only SP/AC addict--7 days to go til I hit Ruby's--just can't decide if it's a Beliken or a panty ripper 1st. Or maybe since I've got 2 hands...

Five days and counting!!! I think there will be plenty of late night golf carts zig zagging through town!! Where is the best place to rent one? I'll Need one for ten days.

KCKat,

Be REAL careful with the ziggin' and zaggin' on the golf carts. In a hospitality exercise the local law enforcement officials are spending some of their vast assets in a "license checkpoint" exercise, which as ironic as it may seem tends to involve the visitors more so than the locals who have carts.

As long as you have your drivers license tucked in the drawstring of your bathing suit, have no visible alcohol with you, or have not been over using intoxicants, everything will be just fine. Not completely sure what exactly the "Welcome Wagon" does if you are outside the above, but to us it didn't seem like it was going to be a whole of fun.

(There, damn it! It took me three months to finally bring that up afer promising myself I wouldn't.)

Garfish,
When we requested rates via email they quoted the unit and mentioned it by name. Maybe it will change but who knows. Gotta get to bed early tonight, 6 am flight out of Kennedy in New York. Lets see wake up at 2 am, do the inevitable last minute forgotten stuff and arrive in SP around 2:30 barring delays. God that Belikin is gunna taste good!

CHOOCHOO: Where did you see the checkpoints applied to visitors more than locals? The checkpoints were demanded by the local community to counter the ever-increasing wild drivers which endanger us all, particularly the kids. We all are subject to inspection at a checkpoint and ticketing if need be. Check the court reports to verify that most tickets are issued to local residents.
Don't you expect to follow the rules in your home town?
