For sure "The Bakery" on Front street is EXCELLENT... good bread and treats and coffee's.... good service... great place to go.. I go at least once a week, sometimes twice...BAGELS, Yum!... chocolate croissants, etc, etc, etc.... sweets galore... very yummy!

You don't need as much salt in a cake as comes in salted butter or margarine. The cake will simply taste salty and no reasonable amount of sugar will fix it. There are alternatives - like shortening, or if you're making a chocolate cake, couverture is a good substitute for fat, though not exactly as you need to adjust the amount of sugar, chocolate and/or cocoa too.
