This is my point exactly! Good is Good, Bad is Bad and it's bad to hate all Muslums because of some and it's bad to insinuate the worst of someone simply because they speak Spanish. As far as the Spanish speakers, so what. Lots of them are bi-lingual citizens. those who are not citizens, or documented, are illegals. We don't have any issues with the Norski speakers here in TX.

A couple of weeks ago, I commented about Pelosi wanting a "Fee" on all bank transactions, deposits, withdrawals, transfers, etc.etc. Well, its in committee (H.R.4646)and she wants it out and voted on no later than Dec. 23rd.

As long as everything you post represents "republicans bad, democrats good" and you ignore the corruption and incompetence on BOTH sides of the aisle, very few if any readers will take you any more seriously than they will our resident rightwinger with his head up his......make that "in the sand!"

he doesn't understand it,
passed by a Congress that hasn't read it
but exempts themselves from it,
to be signed by a president who happens to smoke,
with funding administered by a treasury chief
who didn't pay his taxes,
to be overseen by a surgeon general who is obese,
and financed by a country that's broke.

What the hell could possibly go wrong?

Ernie, I made a comment about the Pelosi tax proposal earlier in this thread.

If that doesn't make some people sit up and take note that the current "administration" is dangerous, I don't know what will. This is another way the government will get ahold of your personal finances, as they are trying to do with every other facet of an individual's life!

It's difficult to follow this but I'll try.
1) I never compared Bush to anyone, just made a point he wouldn't have gotten into Yale, let alone a community college, if it weren't for his family connections.
2) It might have been more difficult to fly a jet in the Reserves rather than fight in Vietnam, I'll give you that, but at least Kerry served his full term and didn't go AWOL. In fact, Kerry was wounded in battle, as opposed to leaving the Texas ANG because he couldn't pass a physical due to blow.
3)The title of the post is political in nature, duh!
4)The segregation link, if you'll noticed, put more blame on Democrats with institutionalizing segregation.

Here's an example of racism as of last week. By the Republicant party no less, so don't tell me racism is dead:

THE SOUTHERN STRATEGY LIVES.... The chairman of the Virginia Beach Republican Party sent around an email this year, sharing a little "joke" he found amusing. His message was that his dog should be eligible for welfare because, as the "joke" goes, the dog is "black, unemployed, lazy, can't speak English and has no frigging clue who his Daddy is."

As racist displays go, this is unambiguously ugly, and the local GOP chairman was forced to resign this week. But it's worth contextualizing the incident to appreciate the larger truth. Indeed, it's hard not to notice the broader, more systemic Republican attempts this year to use identity politics to win votes.
