Accuweather: ( a bit dramatic i think)
Hurricane Richard Set to Batter Belize
By Meghan Evans, Meteorologist Oct 24, 2010; 2:30 PM ET
Hurricane Richard will roar ashore in Belize this evening to the south of Belize City, battering the coastline with huge waves, high winds, and torrential rainfall. Heavy rain and gusty winds will continue in Honduras and southern Mexico.
Richard will keep moving west-northwestward, making landfall in Belize this evening as a Category 1 hurricane.
With Richard's anticipated location of landfall puts Belize City in the worst quadrant of the hurricane in terms of destructive winds and large waves.
Chetumal will also endure the brunt of Richard's winds and heavy rainfall.
High winds will topple trees and power lines and could blow glass out of windows. Some structures could sustain damage, especially poorly constructed ones.

that "how close is it" thingy sure gives inconsistent answers. this is the first storm i have used it. not sure its any good.
look at the differences diane and i got. and right before that i had to switch to a different browser cause when i hit refresh it kept giving me old data from a previous time i had used it a few hours before. using a different browser gave me fresh data.
