Al Franken may have made a career as a comedian before politics, but the current teabagger/republican group is making politics into comedy. What a bunch of morons, from The Former Half Term Governor, to O'Donnell, to Angle, to Paladino, and Miller. Cripes, they make lunacy sound downright reasonable.

You know occasionally you would present a reasonable argument, the above seems related to a ganja associated loss of brain cells.

rykat, thanks for "quoting" jhill. I've had him/her on "ignore" since old US Chat and had forgotten why. Now I remember and the "ignore" will stay on!

Nuting wrong wit a licle 'erb mon.... Alcohol and tobacco are not better and may well be worse, but for one to be criminalized while the other 2 are sources of vast tax revenue is just stupid, and dates back to controlling black Americas' drug of choice during the prohibition era.... Check out this study, from "The Lancet" http://www.foxnews.com/health/2010/...crack-heroin-1148653343/?test=latestnewsSpeaking of stupid......Ed Rendell was on TV this morning railing against Toomey.... He said Toomy has 2 issues that don't sit well with Pennsylvanians... "He (Toomy) wants to reduce corporate taxes and says that China's economy is doing well!" .. It was seemingly beyond him (Rendell) to deduce that lowering corporate taxes would KEEP manufacturing jobs from going abroad! Sorry if putting the names in brackets seems redundant, but you never know who may need a little help to follow along..... Its not 'erb that makes some people a little slow...it's just the way they are!

I'm a bit disappointed that you feel incapable of defending those you hold dearest to your cold, black, conservative/librarian heart. Or maybe you do recognize they are freaking lunatics, and therefore have to do some quick sleight of hand to distract from the idea that perhaps I'm right and they have no business in national politics.

Ah, it's good to know that Jhill is watching out for us. I got no axe to grind for loonies of whatever stripe, but it's comforting to know that Jhill, ever vigilant, will make the call as to who gets to participate in the national debate. He obviously is familiar with freaking lunatics. He will separate the wheat from the chaff and ensure domestic tranquility. In other words, we're screwed.

KC, They are qualified, how? Be so kind as to provide with some quotes that explain their depth of knowledge of the pertinant political issues and how they'll handle crisis.

Let's be honest. We vote the party, not the candidate. But doesn't it make you throw up in your mouth a little bit having to vote for your party's candidate, knowing they've paid full fare for the trip on the crazy train.
