Here's a quote I ran across "I've got a friend who shot himself in the foot. He went to the doctor, got bandaged up, got some medicine. When he wasn't better the next day, he ...was so mad at the doctor that he shot himself in the other foot.
My friend is the American electorate."

Hey, anytime one party controls the House, Senate and Whitehouse it's a dangerous situation. The way things look to me, things should be a little better for all of us now. If they can't compromise, nothing will get done. This my way or no way by either party is not good for this country.

the republicans have PROVED they won't compromise. Actually, they vote NO on everything. Why should we expect that to change? It won't. NOTHING will get done.
I think the Demos in the house should just vote NO on everything like the repubes have done. Give em a taste of their own medicine. Welcome to stubborn intransigence.
A few hundreds of NONDISCLOSED millions of dollars here, and a few hundreds of millions of NONDISCLOSED dollars there. Adds up to a "Republican Wave." You can thank the Supremes for this 'wave.".
Screw the country, politics and moneyed interests first. Thats the Republican way..... even on the court.

Well, we can always hope that they will be as open minded to other peoples ideas as the democrats are.

A HUGE part of the economic problem the USA is having now is because of the refusal of the repubes to even step to the plate. They would rather the country stay in a depression, if they can win the white house.
If they would compromise, or at least ALLOW VOTES TO OCCUR IN THE SENATE, the economic situation would improve. They have their foot on the neck of economic recovery and could give a shit that the country is dying.
It's treasonous.

Well, we can always hope that they will be as open minded to other peoples ideas as the democrats are. We all know how republicans are open to other people's ideas - we've seen their idea of openness in action during the Bush years.
