Thanks, that was quite helpful . . . but even so, still needing a bit more help. For example, my hotel was charging me (IIRC) $.09/minute to call a landline within San Pedro and $.25/minute to call a cellphone. Most everyone I know has a cellphone. I was, duh, for 20+ days, blithely calling my friends most every day and on occasion having long convos. The telephone portion of my hotel bill was outrageous, but what could I do at that point? Nothing, except gasp and pay up. Ouch.

So, I have no idea how many minutes $10 BZE buys on Quicksilver rental phone, particularly when connecting with another cellphone user in San Pedro. Maybe that info is on the website and I missed it?

For the most part prepaid phones are .25 BZD per minute but if you are going to be here on a Friday you can double up on those minutes. I realize that is not cheap but the great thing about it is that you have the phone with you at all times and can have your friends call you. Also you will always no how much you spend because it will tell you how much money you have left on your account. You can refill the phone with minutes at almost every store on the island.
