Stevie ~ we feel the same way ~ heartbroken! I guess the good thing was is that it got us down the AC every year till we retired & now we found a rental for 3 months ~ we do love it down there. I just feel sorry for everyone that thought they had reservations thru timeshare @CMR only to find out they don't gotta be scrambling! And also sorry for all the workers @ CMR not knowing if they are still gonna have jobs or what is gonna happen! I'm sure we'll go up for a couple of visits while down there.

Thanks Ernie, I'll ignore Lan. That's probably the best way to handle someone anonymously insulting you via a message board.

RE: Costa Maya, hope they get back on track... as of late 'had been hearing relatively good things from the guests staying there, too bad they're closing.

SFJeff, if being a newby represents at least 20 years visiting AND living in SP, I guess I am. I have visited your place and enjoyed it. You dont know me (Im low profile) and I dont know you, but will let you know the next time, would like to meet you.

Ernie,

'morning... you'll note that most of my posts over the last 10-odd years are tinged with sarcasm (just as I'd imagine your comment about Lan was) as I know you've been around these parts a while. Come visit anytime, I'm always there, usually in the kitchen!!! Our tubby lab will point you in the right direction of that!

Not to derail the topic of this thread... again, let's hope a positive solution for Costa M is found sooner than later... otherwise it's going to be a pretty quiet stretch of beach up that way (CM if closed, Belize Legacy, etc.)

BeBelize,
Yeah, the last time I was in Belize (last March or April), I walked past Belize Legacy and it was closed. It was a bit of a ghost town.
