We too are considering escaping America before the bars go up. = )
We have a similar problem inthat we have 3 dogs, one elderly. I just can't put her in a cargo hold and she is too big to buy a ticket for on a regular airline. So we will probably drive. The other two are 'special' children too. One is neurotic and the other was a shelter dog so he gets nervous over loud noises. All over 40 lbs. Any suggestions?

Our first trip to Belize is Feb 8-13, 2013. We'll be staying at Coco Beach Resort. Looking forward to a nice relaxing vacation.
