Dianne's suggestion of the Beach Basket located at Grand Caribe is relatively close to you and very good. We shopped there several times in the last few months and found items that where harder to find in town. The prices were good and Mike, the owner is an all around good guy I've known for several years.

Beware of some stores selling out of date products or missing dates.

I think Phil means that there is no need to use your duty free allowance to buy locally produced liquor. Belizean rum is cheap and plentiful in San Pedro.

Thank you but don't get the idea that one store will take care of all your needs. Super Buy and Green House are regular stops for us. Then there is the Bakery, Quality Chicken, Lino The Butcher on Middle St. and various produce shops depending on who has what. In other words living in San Pedro is not exactly like Boston or New York.

When you don't find bananas (this is so for most any item) at your favorite produce shop that probably means there aren't many on the Island. It is a challenge at times but it is all part of the fun. Have a good time, life is not a dress rehearsal.
