Mary Cruz Cardona Galindo, Miss Honduras is Reina de la Costa Maya 2018!
Taking the 2018 title of Reina de la Costa Maya is Mary Cruz Cardona Galindo of Honduras! Charming the judges and the crowd, Mary Cruz was able to walk away with the crown and title of Miss Costa Maya International 2018-19. She was selected after an elegant show of beauty, glamour and culture onstage at the Honorable Louis Sylvestre Sporting Complex on Friday, August 3rd.
Kicking off the show was the talented Alma Caribe�a dance troupe from Mexico, with their fantastic acrobatics and showy costumes. Their dance performance was the perfect segue into the contestants' elaborate and breathtaking cultural costume segment.
Reigning Miss Costa Maya Michelle Estrella Nu�ez gave her final walk across the stage to deliver her farewell address. Visibly emotional, Michelle told the audience that she is officially finished with pageantry as she will be devoted to her studies at the University of Belize. The pageantry world will certainly miss one of its best contestants. Her final walk was to thunderous applause from an appreciative Costa Maya audience.

Miss Honduras Claims Crown At Costa Maya Pageant 2018
With a commanding stage presence, poise, elegance and intelligence, Miss Honduras, Mary Cruz Cardona Galindo captured the Miss Costa Maya 2018 title during the Costa Maya Festival held in San Pedro, Ambergris Caye Belize. Rounding up the top three were Miss Mexico (also winning Best National Costume) in second place and Miss Costa Rica in third.
The stage was filled with bright colors as the seven contestants left the audience in awe with their cultural costume presentations, playfully flirted in their swimsuits and captivated everyone's attention with glamorous evening gowns. Entertainment was provided by Alma Caribe�a dance troupe from Mexico and Grupo Crash from El Salvador.
