COVID-19 UPDATE

This is our data for today. A total of 168 samples were processed today with 37 new cases identified today.

The cases are distributed as follows:

- Belize District - 5 (4 City, 1 Western Pines)
- Corozal District - 11 (7 in Town, 1 San Victor, 1 from San Marcos in Toledo District, 1 from Georgeville in Cayo, 1 repatriated person)
- Orange Walk District - 21 (9 San Jose Palmar, 3 San Estevan, 2 OW Town, 2 San Jose, 1 August Pine Ridge, 1 Trial Farm, 1 San Antonio, 1 Shipyard, 1 from San Pedro but swabbed in OW)

We have 15 recoveries so that 38.98% of our cases remain active.

The infographic today records the death reported yesterday.

Note that the numbers are for the 2 northern districts are being followed closely so that we have to continue to exercise all the prevention measures at all times.

The health teams continue their tireless work at all fronts and we thank you for all the support.

This is our data for today. A total of 300 samples were processed today with 52 new cases identified today.

They are distributed as follows:

Toledo - 1 (Big Falls)
Cayo - 9 (2 Belmopan, 5 San Ignacio, 1 Santa Elena, 1 Armenia)
Belize - 11 (10 San Pedro, 1 Ladyville)
Orange Walk - 15 (4 Town, 2 Yo Creek, 1 Trial Farm, 2 Nuevo San Juan, 1 San Lazaro, 1 from Corozal Town but swabbed in OW, 4 from Toledo but swabbed in OW)
Corozal - 16 (10 Town, 1 Chan Chen, 1 Carolina, 1 Xaibe, 1 Santa Clara, 1 Libertad & 1 from OW)

We have had 53 recoveries so that we now have 37.7% of our cases active.

We have two patients that remaining critically ill at KHMH's ICU.

Our surveillance team has also picked up 3 cases of co-infection with dengue, this is something that had been described in the region and something we had been looking out for given the added layer of complication this can bring. We will continue to monitor these particular situations across the country.

This is our data for today. A total of 311 tests were processed with 50 new cases identified.

They are distributed as follows:

Orange Walk - 25 (9 Town, 4 Carmelita, 4 Trinidad, 1 August Pine Ridge, 1 San Antonio, 2 San Lazaro, 1 Guinea Grass, 1 Trial Farm, 1 Yo Creek, 1 from Toledo District)
Belize - 11 (7 City, 1 Ladyville, 1 Rhaburn Ridge, 1 Maskall, 1 from Carmelita in OW)
Cayo - 13 (3 San Ignacio, 3 San Jose Succotz, 3 Belmopan, 3 Unitedville, 1 Ontario)
Toledo- 1 Laguna

We have a total of 62 recovered cases.
Unfortunately we have another death to report, this is in a male in his late 70s who had been admitted at KHMH's ICU.
Our percentage of active cases now stands at 36% of total confirmed cases.

Corozal = 1 (Corozal Town)
Orange Walk = 13 (3 San Lazaro, 2 Trinidad, 2 Carmelita, 2 Trial Farm, 3 OW town, 1 Yo Creek)
Belize = 3 (2 Caye Caulker, 1 San Pedro).

We have 1 death to report, a female age 62 from Orange Walk, this brings our case fatality rate to 1.3%
We have 31 recovered cases to report today.
Our active cases are now at 34.8% of the total identified cases.

A total of 252 tests were processed today with 29 new cases identified.
The distribution is as follows:

Corozal - 14 (7 in town, 1 Louisville, 1 Progresso, 1 San Andres, 1 Caledonia, 1 Libertad, 1 Chan Chen, 1 Chunox)
Belize - 4 (3 in city, 1 from Calcutta in Corozal)
Cayo - 5 (all in Belmopan)
Stann Creek - 1 (from Bella Vista swabbed in Independence)
Toledo - 5 (all from Big Falls)

We have 31 cases recovered so that our active cases now stand at 34.2% of the total cases.

A total of 224 samples were processed today with 52 new cases identified today.

The distribution is as follows:

Toledo - 1 (San Pedro Columbia)

Corozal - 7 (Concepcion 3, Chan Chen 1, Paraiso 1, Corozal Town 2)

Cayo - 8 (Belmopan 6, Spanish Lookout 1, 1 from Ladyville but swabbed in San Ignacio)

Belize - 9 (6 from City, Hattieville 2, Lords Bank 1)

Orange Walk - 27 (10 in town, 3 in Carmelita and San Jose, 2 in Guinea Grass, Tower Hill and San Estevan and 1 each in Chan Pine Ridge, Trial Farm, Trinidad, Nuevo San Juan and August Pine Ridge)

We have 17 cases recovered

Unfortunately we have two more deaths to report, both were in the Orange Walk District, a male and a female.

The female was in her 70s who had been previously admitted at the NRH and the second was in a male in his 60s who had just been admitted to the hospital today and whose diagnosis was made post mortem.

Our active cases now stand at 35.6% of our total identified cases.

This is our data for today. We have 49 cases in 184 tests done.

The distribution is as follows:

Cayo - 1 (Unitedville)
Stann Creek - 3 (1 Dangriga, 1 from Bella Vista & 1 Seine Bight)
Corozal - 5 (1 each in Joaquin, Xaibe & Concepcion, 2 in town)
Belize - 12 (7 in San Pedro, 3 in city, 1 each in Ladyville & Caye Caulker)
Toledo - 12 (9 Big Falls, 2 Punta Gorda, 1 Forest Home)
Orange Walk - 16 (9 in town, 5 Trinidad, 1 Trial Farm, 1 San Jose Palmar)

We have one more death to report, this is a male in his 80s who died at KHMH's ICU earlier today. Two patients remain intubated at KHMH's ICU.

We have 21 recovered cases so that 36.1% of our cases remain active.

Please continue to remain safe as cases in some communities continue to be on the rise.

This is our data for today. A total of 180 samples were processed today with 34 new cases identified.
They are distributed as follows:

Cayo - 1 in Belmopan
Belize - 6 (5 in city, 1 in San Pedro)
Corozal - 5 (3 in town, 1 Calcutta, 1 Concepcion)
Orange Walk - 22 (16 in town, 2 Yo Creek, 2 Carmelita, 1 Tower Hill, 1 San Luis)

We have 26 recoveries with 35.9% of our cases active.
Please continue to remain safe all as the current scientific evidence continues to indicate that physical distancing and proper mask wearing are key in prevention.

A total of 179 samples were processed today with 54 new cases identified. They are distributed as follows:

Corozal: 21 (12 Town, 3 San Andres, 1 Chan Chen, 2 Santa Clara, 2 San Joaquin, 1 Concepcion)
Orange Walk: 11 (4 Town, 1 Yo Creek, 2 Trial Farm, 1 San Jose Palmar, 1 from Ladyville, 1 Tower Hill, 1 San Pablo)
Belize: 21 (7 City, 4 KOLBE, 3 Ladyville, 4 from San Jose OW, 1 from Tower Hill OW, 1 from Xaibe CZ, 1 from Cristo Rey CZ)
Cayo: 1 In Belmopan

We have 18 recovered cases.

Unfortunately we have another death to report, this is in a female from Corozal who was rushed to KHMH in a critical state but died. Diagnosis was made post-mortem.

Two patients remain intubated at KHMH's ICU and three others on supplementary oxygen.
