I'M FROM OREGON – the operative word being “from”!
Actually born in Longview Washington and lived in Kelso until 9.
Then Oregon – from Tillamook to Beaverton and many crossroads in-between - until 20 when I escaped to California. Oh, heck, I have to own up to 11 miserable months in Detroit '58-"59. Had to get married to get out of that mess! LOL
But now that I've been to Belize enough times I know I want to live there at least half the year. I'm heading down, next Thursday, for my first two months!
Seems to me, in Oregon, it always started raining the first day of school just to ruin my pretty new dress. and stopped in time to pick strawberries in May. Drought from May to September, but there was so much moisture left in the ground that it created a continuous overcast and I never did see the sun. (I believe that is why so many of the women are flat chested.)
Spent my last 3 years at the original Beaverton High School and lived w-a-y out in the boonies – Bethany. Yep – what is now the Rock Creek Country club was our backyard!
