Back from a quick long weekend dive trip with my son. Great time--my fourth time diving with Amigos del Mar and they continue to impress. Trip to Blue Hole in new dive boat was fantastic--would not have been able to go in years past when they only had smaller boats due to the wind and the Blue Hole and wall dives were spectacular. Great dinners at Blue Water Grill, Caliente and Capricorn. Ambergris continues to enchant but the new parasailing operation does give one pause. Parasailing on Ambergris?--come on!

Thanks John, will be making my first trip in March, and was glad to read about the Blue Hole trip and the boatride. SeaShell mentioned that they had a new boat. Caliente is one of those places I would like to try. Thanks for sharing!

Parasailing not really "new" - at least 4 maybe 5 yrs or more - but I get your point !

Actually the parasailing is fantastic! I went for the first time a few weeks ago and it is the best way to see the layout of the island and the reef. It is also much better for taking pictures of the town than by plane.
