nearly all of SA's lodgings are excess time share rooms.....most of their "Service fee" is the resort's weekly maintenance fees.

I've been very successful several times in the past with a few airfares as well as the occasional room in Costa Rica/Venezuela/Ecuador/Mexico - helps to know the properties...AND the going rate...(find a friend who owns an RCI share and look at the books) be patient if you bid. Know the market, SA always has another right behind the one you are bidding on.

I agree with you klc, folks can get a great deal on rooms at SA. Sometimes even airfare, but in the case of airfare - new bidders to SA should add up all those additional costs to ensure they are getting a good price.

This was not a sky auction deal. A travel agency posted the trip. I got a certificate in the mail today that I have to fill out and send in, and they will send me a reservation form. I'll let you know how it works out (I'm still a little leary!)! I really don't care if I'm in a tin shack as long as I'm on AC!

yup be interested - SA also owns a travel agency and is a consolidator.
