We are thinking about some day trips to the mainland. Should this affect out decision concerning shots and stuff.

mobunny, you can get the smallest little speakers nowadays; should fit into the suitcase no problemo. After arriving, just hook them up to your discman, plug in with the adaptor and there ya go . . .tunes.

The speakers I used before (paired) took up about the same amount of room as a man's shaving kit. But just last week, I found some speakers that were shaped a bit like an L-bracket. They were totally flat, otherwise. They were also reasonably inexpensive and would probably fit neatly into the corners of my bag without taking the place of anything else at all. And so of course, I *must* have them. smile

For years we've eaten at the street vendors and have never had a problem. The food is very good and also very cheap. Once you've had a hot dog or hamburger you'll go back for more. Have Fun!!!

I agree the street vendors are awesome! Some of the best food on the island.

No, no shots required even if visiting the mainland.

Wow I can't believe someone living on the island and running a business would bash the street vendors!!! They are a very important part of San Pedro and I have never heard of anyone having a problem. These are locals who depend on tourists as well as locals to keep the stands going. It must be nice to be able to build such a beautiful high end home on the beach and reap all the benefits and then bash the locals!!! Shame on you!!
