As a relatively new NGO, Green Reef is dependent on the work and efforts of volunteers. Since 1996, Green Reef has had two full time Peace Corps Volunteers (Ann Hayden 98-00, Jill Hepp 00-02) and an Oversees Training Program Volunteer (Dan Ellison, 00-01) and several independent volunteers. We have also worked in conjunction with several university groups from the United States, which send volunteers for the summer months. (Smith College and Kansas State University). Several San Pedro High School students have assisted Green Reef both as part of a two-week internship program and as part of their fourth-form community service requirements.

Currently Green Reef does not have a volunteer coordinator, which makes it difficult to organize projects for short-term volunteer positions. However we are always interested in hearing from potential volunteers, especially those that have skills in the following areas: web design, photographers, fund-raising, community outreach and environmental education.
