Milo Paz lying down in the church after his airplane crashed right next to the Lion's Clinic in San Pedro, 1994
Only the pilot was on the plane. No one on the ground was injured. It hit the back of the house of the nurses residence. Nurse Norma (from long ago, not the recent Norma) was living there at the time but was not injured. At the time the conversation really took off that the airstrip should be moved out of town.
Rebecca Gardner:
It was June 20th,1994. That was the day my amazing son Travis Williams was born. I was in a labor for a couple of days and nurse Natalie was my midwife. The airstrip was closed due to the plane crash, nurse Natalie was attending to Milo, who broke his leg, at this point I found out i had to go to Belize City to have an emergency c-section. We had to charter a plane to fly to Belize City!!! I will never forget that day!!! RIP nurse Natalie.
