Karst hills along the southern flank of the Maya Mountains from the side and above
You can almost imagine an ancient ocean lapping the shoreline; that is what karst is, the remains of prehistoric underwater worlds. In the Toledo District.
The aerial shot of these mounds reminds me of the shape some corals take. That is fitting as these mounds are remnants of ancient coral reefs.
