Customs Building and Wharf in Belize City, 1950's
he customs wharf is by Baron Bliss' grave. It is lined with many historical building and was one of Belize's first streets in existence since the establishment of the colony of British Honduras.
The boat Heron H is to the back. The tug boat that you see there belonged to the United Fruit Company and was used specifically for towing the barges of cargo that came to Belize from the shops that were anchored approximately about 5 miles from the shore. It was managed by Eurocaribe Shipping Services.
This is by what is today called Tourist Village.
