Celebration on Empire Day, boats at the Stann Creek wharf 1930's
The large ship on the right looks like the O.C.L. (Old Carib Lady.)
Stanley Wright: I was kinda young in the 50s when we to travel to Stann Creek for the May month holidays when school was out, but vaguely I remember the three boats and I think the Heron H was bigger than the OCL and the OCL was bigger than the Sarawee. Don’t hold me to that but that’s how I remember those boats. Maybe someone else can verify that.
Charles Mariano:
I read about the OCL boat in the book "Emerald Valley, Twinkling Town" by HTA Bowman. My mom gives account of riding it to Belize City.
