Caye Caulker is a great place to go if you like it beautiful & slow. If you go there you can go to Popeye's (Bar & Grill) on a weekend and enjoy some locals that play Punta Rock with the drums and a turtle shell. It is Garifuna (sp?) Cultural music. They would be glad to tell you some history on it. Also if you head south to Dangriga will see alot more of there heritage. Belize is such a mix of cultures that you will learn so much from everyone you meet. I did and enjoyed every minute of it.
