that's half the population of the district living on Ambergris according to
Central Statistical office Ministry of National Development

1728 voted for UDP Elsa Paz
1054 voted for PUP Don Beto

102 ballots rejected
apparently 5 and 1/2 thousand people on the island didn't get to vote on how the Island is run.

Can Residents vote in the local Town Board election? The Town Board doesn't seem to know, they keep referring me to someone else.
I hear it both ways when I ask that question to John Q.and even the Election and boundaries Commission circles around when I try to get a straight answer.
For sure the rules are different for national elections but for local I highly suspect legal residents can vote, but i can't get that confirmed anywhere.they keep saying ask JR.( I think he might be biased so I didn't bother.
