If anyone in the Houston area is willing to go to visit Denny, even for a half hour, I'm sure that he would appreciate that. A little time spent with someone in his position goes a long way.
Becky (windjammer) is so good with Denny. Once he woke up from his surgery and realized he had company he was very responsive and tried to communicate as best he could. He kept clinging to Becky's hand, holding it under his head like his pillow. He needed many hugs. And still does. I hated leaving him knowing that his fate would be back to the nursing home. Also, more reasons for frequent visitors.
Thank you for the RV suggestion, Simon. And thank you very much for your kind offer Sun&sand - what a generous angel you are.
I've been checking with an EMT friend of mine to get prices for a regular ambulance - from what he told me it was about half the cost of the air ambulance - between 7K to 10K.
Any and all suggestions and visitor volunteers would be appreciated.

Time flys - have fun!
