Ok now you all have raised my expectations of Ambergris beaches so high that now I may be disappointed smile I was originally imagining ambergris Caye to have a rocky coast-line with almost no sand to lay a towel on, and a mangrove infested shore line that would make off-the-shore snorkelling difficult. Now you all have described it as a paradise where white-sandy beaches await my arrival, and dolphins will cary me on their backs. Haha... so, now any subsuquent disapointment will rest squarely on your shoulders wink
