Belize NMS: Conditions have become moist and relatively unstable over the area.
Advisories: *Winds may become gusty near showers and thunderstorms. Operators of small crafts are advised to exercise caution.*
24-hour forecast: Some cloudy spells along with a few showers and thunderstorms, especially over northern, central and extreme southern areas, increasing later today; and then mainly over the south and some coastal areas tonight.

General Outlook: For Saturday and Saturday night is for a few showers and isolated thunderstorms mainly over the south in the morning and in the night. Otherwise, showers or thunderstorms will be isolated.
Daily Tropical Weather Outlook: At 3:00am Subtropical Storm Ernesto was located near latitude 45.6N and longitude 36.4W or about 715 miles NW of the Azores Islands. Elsewhere in the North Atlantic, the Caribbean Sea, and the Gulf of Mexico, tropical cyclone formation is not expected during the next 48 hours. Click for more...

The Caribbean Sea

Isolated moderate to locally strong rainshowers cover the NW corner of the Caribbean Sea, from 14N northward from 79W westward. Upper level anticyclonic wind flow covers the Caribbean Sea from the Windward Passage westward.

Nocturnal near gale force easterly trade winds are expected along the northwest coast of Colombia overnight, and then again on Friday night. A tropical wave along 68W will continue westward across the central Caribbean tonight, and pass through the western Caribbean waters during the upcoming weekend. A second tropical wave will reach along 55W on Friday, and pass through the eastern Caribbean Sea on Saturday and Sunday. The tropical wave will be accompanied by locally strong rainshowers through early Saturday.
