The first couple of bars at the end of th road to the right definitely do not have an Ambergris feel. Lounge chairs just crammed in side by side by side by side. I thought "This is not why I come to Belize." There's a small road to the left just as you arrive to the area that goes to Blue Bayou. We liked that, it's built out over the water, but they have some tables in the water as well. Very friendly and reasonable prices plus very laid back.
