I just returned from Caye Caulker last night. There is no martial law, only an 8:00pm to 6:00am curfew being enforced by the police and BDF. As of yesterday when I left there were no deaths reported on Caye Caulker. There is incredible destruction and minor injuries but no deaths. I have pictures which i can send to Marty to post if there is any interest.

Here is some more that Desi sent me: I just returned from Caye Caulker. My family all live there still, so I went to find out for my self how people were doing. I got there on Friday and returned last night. I saw Carmelita on the flight from Houston to Belize.I can also answer any questions people may have. There is a general cleanup effort going on. BEL is trying to restore power but will have to install new infrastructure. That effort is well underway. BTL is letting people use a cell from their office to make calls. The cabling infra is also destroyed and will have to be replaced. There is food and water available, the village council is on top of it. There is food distribution and there are volunteers helping out from various agencies. There is a curfew from 8:00pm to 6:00am every day. BDf and the Police are enforcing. The CO-OP's gas pump was destroyed but it seems was replaced and they were selling gasoline for a while. There was indeed a lot of destruction, and the debris on the streets and in peoples yards is incredible. It will take a while but it will get better.

I will try to process these pics today, but i am blown out busy and not sure when I will get them up.
I have them. It will take a couple hours to shrink and code them up, and it will be like 2 minutes at a time as I have breaks in other needs...

I was angered also when I heard a rumor that San Pedro had enforced martial law and then found out it was not true! We have to stop the rumors by getting in touch with the people on the islands, if at all possible. Surely our minds can be at ease now.

Thank you Desi for the pictures. My heart sank when I saw the destruction but it rose when I saw the helicopter and troops with supplies.
Now that things are underway, is there a list of items still needed?
