2nd trip to SP coming up next week.

Last trip was a group thing and we did'nt do much of the late night thing. Wife and I are looking for the good nite spots WITH bands, or good DJ 2nd chioce.

Read this board for more then a year, can some create a "sticky" for:

favorite eating spots split by: morning noon night.(many places not open for breakfast or until evening)

favorite bars, split by: morning noon and night
(what can I say its 5 O'clock somewhere)

favorite things to do:

thinking of Fidos in SP, but last trip there one of our long time SP vistors said don't go there, now, we've been wondering, was it because they didn't like it loud(we heard it from our hotel)or is there some element to be cautious of? and is there a Fido's north?
We will be just south of SP within a 5 minute cart ride.

is there any "locals" only nite spots? don't want to intrude?

There is only one Fido's. Some artist think loud is better. NOT. I know of no reason that Fidos is not a safe place to go. Go and enjoy.

I can understand your friends current opinion of Fidos Courtyard. As a local in san pedro ive witness a steady decline in the entertainment there over the past 4-5 months. Many of the bands play way to loud, they seem unrehearsed, and the songs seem to last a long time. Has anyone else noticed that? Contrary to all that, I was there last night and had an amazing time. They invited these amazing girls from Mexico to perform. They twirled fire sticks, and were hanging from the top of the palapa. It was truly a sight to witness, sitting next to the sea sipping on a Belikin. Also the band 20/20 was playing. They played a lot of my favorite tunes, and got a whole bunch of booties a shakin'
Anyhow don't get down on what your friend may say aout Fidos, its a great place to go and party if its the right night.

Fido's is ok. If anything, it's a bit boring to me. If you really want to check out a few places locals go to, try the discos. Jaguar's and Big Daddy's bump until dawn on Friday and Saturday and there is usually a nice mix of locals and tourists. Be ready to dance. Also, Wet Willy's on Wednesday is fun....ladies night.

It's all relative to what you enjoy. I think Fido's is lot's of fun! You can enjoy the band while talking to the locals/tourists. Jaguar's and Big Daddy's is ok but they're both dark crowded dance clubs... it's all what you prefer. The bars right outside Jaguar's & Big Daddy's are cool but no bands for either one.

Fidos is super fun! Some nights low key, some nights very busy with great bands. I'd say at least go in, have a drink and check it out!
Jaguars is either packed as mentioned or very slow. Was very slow last few weekends.
Stop by Fidos, then when they close go to the clubs too. They are all so close, just do it all.
