Deacon,
I'd classify Belikin Regular as an IPA. It's got a "twang" to it like an IPA, but not as much as a Bitter. It's really not a bad beer. It's not a remarkable beer, either, unlike One Barrel. That's a remarkable rum.
Remember, Belize used to be British Honduras. The British know how to make beer and they seem to have passed on the skills for brewing beer in the tropics, not an easy feat, to the Belizans. IPA stands for "India Pale Ale".
Beverages and More carries Belikin. There are several stores in the San Diego area. I picked up a sixer at the Hunting Beach store a couple of weeks ago for $7. The good news is that the bottles are 12oz now. If I remember, the old bottles were something like 10.5oz.
