Hello everyone,

I have received a call from Vicky Lamb stating that she is concerned about her brother, Tom Ely, but does not know where he is. She said he was staying in Chetumal for a while and asked her to wire money a few weeks ago - the money has not yet been picked up. He also has a PO Box in San Ignacio, who stated that they have not seen him for a while (a few months); a friend has been picking up his mail. She is mainly worried that he is destitute and without food, never having picked up the money she sent. She also said that he usually spends a good deal of time with the Mennonites.

If anyone knows anything or sees Mr. Ely, please ask him to call his sister and contact me immediately.

Has Tom contacted anyone as yet? If not, does his sister know where he planned to stay and/or if he was traveling with a partner? I'm headed to Chet in an hour and can check on his whereabouts if I had a starting place.
