And what a mob of people! No way to estimate how many cause the streets were jammed with crowds. The fireworks was spectacular, especially when raining down burning embers on the crowd...lots of screaming! An event to remember!!!

Happy Birthday Belize...

This is the first time I've stayed up to watch the fireworks here. Although I watched from a distance (my rooftop) I was quite impressed. Caye Caulker had a good show going as well. I was able to watch both at the same time. Way cool.

Good fun last night. Can't wait for the parades today.

Last nights party was the biggest I have ever seen in Belize the fireworks hammered on for half an hour

I was told today that the population of SP was 15,000 yesterday and one third were on the streets in town.

What an atmosphere!

A western New Years Eve does not even compare.

Today things are starting up slowly as hangovers are being overcome.

The Parade is slowly coming together as the whole Island is decorating their vehicles and Golf Carts.

The party was great! Fireworks were great and they lasted almost a half hour! Definately hungover and it hurt to get out of bed this afternoon! The parade was fun as always.

The party in town is now going on as we have had a few people start arriving for the fundraiser.

Barefoot Skinny is playing his last Gig "ever" in AC this afternoon and everyone seems to be coming South

Golf cart after golf cart. Skinny is giving free CD's away for a donation to BDARRT.

Today is going to be crazy.

Why is this skinnys last gig "ever" in AC? Is he being voted off the island for selling the Hammock House therefore canceling the funky Sunday "jam" sessions?
