Is there a duty free in the belize city airport
and can i buy liquer there and bring it to the island ???

Duty free shops are only for exiting Belize at the international airport.

Yes No problem even 2 litres you wont have a problem
Be sure to shop on exiting belize as the duty free is the cheapest have ever bought from and I have travelled a lot

A customs question for the Canadians... we're only allowed to bring in 1 litre of alcohol with us... really sucks since it's so cheap. Anyone know what we get charged if we bring 2 and delare the second one? Is it enough that it makes that "good deal" not quite so good?

I am sure it is plenty beautiful and wonderful you do not need to be intoxicated.
