We're leaving January 14 for Belize and I'm not exactly sure when to book our flights. We're flying out of Boston or NY and the prices right now are almost $600. I am kinda hoping the fare will go down later. Do you think I should wait or just buy the tickets now? Thanks!

I'd wait until about Dec 1 and see what happens. Also, if you can, try shifting your dates to mid-week departures, usually cheaper.

they might go down, they might go up. I did that last year and waited. They were like $500-600 and then waited and they went up to $800 that time of year...

It all just depends on so many things, You really never know.

We've been going in January every year for the past four. The fare from Phila. has always been $400 something, plus tax.

Given the cost of fuel in general, I'm not sure how cheap these fares will be in the future. If you see a fare for around $500 or so - I'd grab it. I've paid as much as $750 and as little as $425 from Northern California (with the exception of those glorious frequent flyer tickets).

Setting up one of the fare watchers is a good thing - then you can be alerted with fares go down.

Good luck!

Also checked leaving from New york and got a price of 435.00 plus tax and leaving from Hartford is 442.74 plus tax. I think these are great prices. I am traveling to Belize from Connecticut Feb. 18 -28 and paid $ 624.00 back in April

The fare went down and the lowest one I could find was for $503.50pp from NY LGA. We just bought it for fear of it going up again. I know midweeks are very tempting with those low rates. Unfortunately, we can't do midweeks frown .

Tiona Luster... wow those are great rates! Where did you find them?
