You Know You Live in Belize When...
For those of us who have taken the "let's get acquainted gradually" approach to residency in Belize (highly recommended vs. the "jump right in" method -- for *any* relationship... ;-) it can be difficult to determine exactly at what point one "lives in Belize".
For myself, I now use the term, but it's taken me six years to progress to this state. For a long time I had to answer the "do you live here?" question with some variant of "I don't know..."
But there are a few appropriate measures, I think, and here I humbly offer a few of mine to get things rolling -- please do add your favorites!

You Know You Live in Belize When...
1. It's room-temperature out: you dress in long pants and a sweater.
2. You have been away from Belize for awhile and the smell of burning plastic makes you nostalgic.
3. You no longer try to fake a Creole accent.
4. You still have trouble understanding people, but so does everyone in Belize.
5. You have little concern for your vehicle's appearance.
6. You discover you've misplaced your shoes -- days, maybe weeks ago.
7. A visiting friend suddenly jumps up and flips out, causing you consternation. You have to have the 2-kg. cockroach/grasshopper/beetle/spider/scorpion/frog/snake/whatever pointed out to you repeatedly before you comprehend the issue.
8. You are surprised that your visiting friend does not consider tiny little ants hazardous.
9. You have little concern for your own appearance.
10. You don't wear a watch, you're not sure what day (month) it is, and you never miss an appointment.
