we are comming down for a month or so in febuary and are wondering if anybody knows of a more direct way to get to Jamaica and back, besides flying back and forth to maimi or houston. are there any carriers operating out of belize with more direct routes? We want to go for a week or so during our trip.
this will be our 8th or 9th trip to san pedro. we love it there and travel to rhe mainland for a monkey now and then, but would like to branch out a bit on this trip.
any info would be appreciated.

Maybe you should consider one of our nearby neighbouring countries instead. Mexico and Guatemala have many great attractions and are easily accessible.

Did you see if you can fly to Jamaica from Cancun,Mexico?

good idea about cancun, i'll check. we've been to all over mexico a dozen times and the last time there the hawkers for everything drove us so crazy we chartered a plane to chetemal and scrambled back to san pedro, just in time to save our sanity.
looking forword to the 5th feb and we might not make it futher than bc's and that would be ok too.

If the 'hawkers' drove you crazy in Mexico, I don't think Jamaica is the place for you. If you want to explore, Central America has lots of really interesting places. Try Guatemala, Honduras, Costa Rica, Nicaragua to start. Depending on your timeframe you can drive, bus, or fly with Taca.
