We just returned last night from 10 wonderful days on Ambergris. We stayed at the Palms Condos, wonderful! Great location, next to Ramons. Great patios and private beach area, beautiful little pool. I really recommend it. We met several people there that had switched from their original accommodations. Everyone said good things. One person that came from Ramons said that there room was infested with fleas!

Very few mosquitoes in town. the only problem was on the north end, a little bug spray did the trick.

Winds were unusually strong for this time of year had 2 days that the diving was cancelled, but yesterday was nice.

Had wonderful meals at, El Patio, Cannibals, Mambo and BC BBQ.

We dove with Amigos Del Mar. Great organization. Always on time. Rare in my Island experience. Great bunch of dive masters. Did the blue hole and the dives after were not to be missed.

One thing we did not do, but everyone we talked to that did loved it was, cave tubing on the main land. Something to think about if your traveling with Kids or non-divers.

Could you give me an idea of how you went about the condo's? I tried pricing airfare from Houston alone and it was outrageous so we went with a hotel/air package. Of course we're not staying long. Would you mind if I asked how much you were paying in airfare?
We're leaving wed. for AC and already know I don't want to come back! Already looking for ideas of returning!

we bought our tickets thru priceline.com 420.00 plus some charges about another 20.00 or so. Denver thru Houston on Continental. Booked the condo thru the internet [email protected] ask for Yadi or Kelly. It was considerably cheaper than what the wholesaler quoted me. Several people "walked up" and booked while they were there. I think they will nego the price based on availabilty. Very nice place
