After my first trip to AC this past May, I've decided that not only must I get back ASAP, but I'm bringing at least 11 of my closest friends.
Any tips on travel arrangements for a large group? Recommended travel agents, places to stay, etc.?

Check with Barb from Barb's Belize. She frequents this board quite often and is quite knowledgable about Belize and the cayes.

We saw something last night that might help with the big group thing

If you have any divers with you (and I assume you would) check out the dive and room special listed in Rodales "Scuba Diver" for the Sunbreeze. The rate includes 7 nights lodging, the air fare from International, and 5 two-tankers. We have the condo thing going there, but know a lot of people who have stayed at the Breeze. The price for the package ($585 pp) seems right.

There are several BZ locations listed in each months magazine

If you do call Magnum, ask for Lynn and tell her I told you to call and she'll take extra care of you.

There are 11 of us traveling to AC on 8-30. We are staying at Casa Tortuga (http://casatortuga.com) - $4000 for the week. Book directly through the owner - Ms. Mason is very nice and helpful. Her number is on her website. I booked airfare through Lori at CityNet - great prices. Ms. Mason provided the names and numbers of the diving and fishing guides. Help this helps.

I to have worked with [email protected], she booked a couple of tickets for me and my lovely. We were very impressed with the price of our tickets. Just email her the dates you would like to travel, and your departure city and she'll find you the best tickets.

I would recommend atleast getting a price from Cherri at Maya Mar.

She is very knowledgable, and fair.

[email protected]

She books groups for colleges, dive shops, individual groups.

I would try Sundiver I was there for my honeymoon but they had a group of 15 that seemed to be really hapy. And I heard from one of them they got a great rate on booking more than three rooms.
