Loansum, it's a losing battle with the media. CNN in the U.S. thinks Belize is in Mexico. I was just watching CNN and their weatherman said the hurricane will hit a nature preserve, so it couldn't hit in a better place. The anchor said, Well that's good news. They completely ignored Belize to the south. U.S. media is worthless anyway. Stay safe everyone, we are thinking about you!

Weather channel just said that the electronic equipment that they dropped into the hurricane didn't transmit the data like it should have and they won't have good information on it's strength and pressure until early morning when they upload it from the hurricane hunter plane when it lands. He also said that the estimate of 160mph winds was on the cautious side and it's very likely 165.

I just left Belize last Friday and my heart is still there. I wish you well and pray for the best! Stay safe and thanks for letting us all know how you are doing!

I've been reading the posts all day, Marty thanks for all of your wonderful info. We just talked to Mr. German at Copacabana, they are hunkered down and riding it out. Many prayers to everyone on the island.

Is anyone near the Belize Yacht Club or Changes in Latitude?
