Marty, thanks for all your informaiton. We have been up all night trying to hear what has happened in San Pedro and north. We are so worried about Carlos at our house, Jeff and Vivian at Rojo and everyone there. Keep us posted!

Looks like Felipe Carillo Puerto in Quintana Roo will be hit very hard. As will the beautiful Laguna Bacalar area. Backside of eyewall appears to be hitting Majahual now.

Jeff Spiegel, owner of the Azul Resort in Amerbergris Caye, Belize, said it was "incredibly windy" and the ocean surge was "very, very high." Most of the docks and piers have been washed away on the western side of his narrow island, he said.

If winds were 40 to 50 MPH, San Pedro was incredibly lucky!!!!
As per Milo Paz. Was Milo in San Pedro or on the mainland!!

Carolin and Ted, Carlos sent the family to the mainland, but refused to leave. Spoke to him last night...he is hunkered down in our main house. Jeff and Vivian staed also...they have a SAT phone.....Jeff was quoted on CNN http://www.cnn.com/2007/WORLD/americas/08/21/hurricane.dean/index.html

I am looking at the satelite image and looks to me like Belize in the calm of the Eye. I think there is another 3-4 hours coming. Very confusing.

Thanks Millers! Pray all is safe. Sounds like our docks are gone...hope that is the least of our worries at this point. Nice to know Jeff has a SAT phone! Hopefully we will hear from somebody soon.
