I get the impression that the Warrens were staying at VH. Would this same thing have happened if they were staying at Rubys?

Bobber- In response to your question above the answer is: Yes.

Our decision to help was not based on which hotel the Warrens were staying at. Our decision to help was based on that we believe our island has problems with unethical business practices in regards to the rental company in question.

In regards to our help from a better business bureau percpective-membership is not mandatory. That said- membership to the San Pedro Business Association is appreciated and needed.

Thanks,

Tim

BB, my question was intended to mean that "if they were staying in a less expensive lodging, would they have been targeted." I did not mean to imply that you (SPBA) would not have stepped forward if such was the case.

We will be at BB in November, hope to meet you then.

Bobber

Of course they would have been targeted, it appears this business has a habit of doing this regardless of where island guests are staying. Thanks to all those who stepped forward to help them out !

This seemed more of a stickup than the usual more common fleecing, so I was just wondering if staying in a bigger bucks spot might have made them a little more, ummm, "capable of paying". Just wondering.

Bobber,

I apologize for the misinterpretation. I think it is safe to say that they would not discriminate in this fashion...

I will be in Montana part of November. If my travel dates coincide with yours I'll leave an open tab at Pedro's under Ernie's name for you. ;-) You can have my poker seat too as long as you leave it with some luck!

Can we go back to the part where Tim is buying drinks?

I can never remember which is better . . . safe? . . . or sorry?

I hear ya Bobber -- interesting question. Even morons choose their targets wisely -- otherwise they would have been out of business well before this.

BTW, bar tab time and location noted.

I will have a Belikin -- put it on klcman's tab.
