Where do the moderators draw the line on politics?
As a US citizen with business interest in Belize, am I allowed to comment on Belizean elections and politics?
Do I have to sit here and not retort when SIN or Jesse take pot shots at US policy and agenda?
Do I have to read about UK politics on a Pedro2 post?
When the "fill in the blank" school in Belize is badly in need of money to function, am I allowed to speak about my views on Belizean politics?
Am I no longer allowed to joke with Rykat and the other Conservatives here about "fill in the blank" running for office?
If the Town Council approves the Casino Boat or South Beach, am I allowed to voice an opinion? Isn't that Belizean politics?
When the residents of San Pedro ask us for help stopping such crap being done on our beloved island, isn't that Belizean politics?
If a US doctor wants to become a Belizean resident and help out on the island, is that not politics?
We are sort of a dysfunctional family on here. Many posters know each other. There are very few anonymous personal attacks. Personally I could give a rat's ass how Pugwash is going to vote, that is his business. What is disgusting is how certain posters get personal with insults on other's views. The other day Jesse and Immisssing got into a F-you, no F-you kindergarten like battle. I would rather see that sort of thing stopped, than silence what can be discussed here.
So here's my vote. If you want to talk politics in any country, fine. Just be a grown up about it.
