Ernie, it is my understanding that all jet fuel in Belize is imported, since there is no refinery in BZ to refine their "Super Premium Light Sweet" crude. If it is indeed imported it seems likely that this fuel is not passed on to Continental Airline at its import price. (ie), another reason to increase the price of air fare from Houston to BZ vs Cancun. Also, I wonder how many observers on this board would guess that the Mexican Tourist Bureau refuels incomming tourist flights "free of charge", since they have both an ample supply of crude and refinery capacity. Maybe it is free gas in exchange for a plane load of tourists who will each spend $3,000 US during their week stay in Cancun.
