JE does not have it's own personal guide staff. When someone wants to go fishing they simply call one of the local guides. There are a ton of guides that all of the resorts call when someone wants to go fishing. The guides charge the resort their fee and then the resort adds to that fee.

JE adds to the fishing guide fee at a higher rate than the other resorts I believe.

regulars, help me: i remembered seeing a sign at the airport for a resort that specializes in fishing expeditions. was it called Pescador or something? Lan would know.

I just confirmed to go to Banyan Bay instead of Mata Chica, JE, Vic House etc... Based upon what I have read on the board I think I made the right choice. We are going to have 2 nights at Cpt Morgans, 2 Nights at Cayo Espanto (nuts but you only live once) and 6 nights at Banyan Bay - I figure we have covered all the bases. We will book guides through Tanisha Tours - I am hoping this was the right choice... cannot really screw up too bad - no matter where you sleep you still in paradise... right???
