Illegal and penalties should be raised. The data on my computer is private and belongs to be. The examples giving are good ones. Too many identies are stolen by hacking hurting so many people.

Offensive - and an offense.

In Kindergarten they teach you not to mess with other people's stuff - I'd like to think that as adults we would at the very least behave like a reasonably well rested 4 year old.

It's an invasion of privacy and I believe most countries such as UK,EU,Canada, Australia, New Zealand and to some degree the US have laws against that thereby making it illegal to access someones private data without permission.
