We're going to try the US-Cancun-AC route in May. Wondering if anyone has a lead on cheap air from the US to CUN recently? Prefered gateway is Miami. Also has anyone done the Riviera Maya by bus, Maya Island Corazol-AC connection lately? Grateful for any and all comments.

Just returned from 2 weeks along Mayan Coast. Try www.locogringo.com " mess.bd" kay should be able to get you the bus schedules and rates. she did for me. I was about to make the same trip but got busy do other things. Check out the BIG PICTURES on this site.

Airfare has been brutal lately. My current ticket (out of MIA in June) is $418+tx on Continental through flycheapol.com. TACA is usually alittle less, but I'm not happy with service (stranded twice).

Don't know if this helps, but I was able to find the best rate for my trip through www.hotwire.com. Flying major US carrier out of Miami. If you can be flexible about your departure and arrival time, as you don't get those until you pay, it seems the way to go. I've used them before and all went smoothly with an e-ticket. I checked flycheapol.com, too, but they didn't have flights when I wished to depart and this turned out to be less expensive, afterall. Have a great trip!
