San Pedro Makes TripAdvisor Top Destination List

San Pedro, Belize, made #25 in the top 25 travel destinations in Central and South America in the latest Traveler's Choice Awards by TripAdvisor.com.

The colonial town of Antigua, Guatemala, at #6, and the beach resort of Tamarindo, Costa Rica, at #22 were the only other Central American destinations to make the list. The other 22 were in South America. Machu Picchu in Peru was #1.

Cape Town, South Africa, ranked as the #1 destination in the world, and New York City was the #1 U.S. destination.
