Good news at the fuel pumps as prices take a dip

Fuel prices have gone down internationally which means that with the arrival on Wednesday of the latest fuel tanker in Belize, there's a change in fuel prices at the pump effective today. Mercifully, this time it's good news for drivers. Premium gasoline, which was all the way at twelve dollars and twenty-four cents, took the biggest dip, going down by eighty-one cents. That puts the new price per gallon at eleven dollars and forty-three cents. The price of regular fuel went down by forty-one cents to now sell for ten dollars and ninety-seven cents per gallon. Meanwhile, the cost of diesel decreased by forty-six cents, bringing it to ten dollars and thirty-one cents. A release was issued by the Ministry of Finance announcing the new prices; it also says that any future changes in acquisition costs will be passed on fully to consumers.

The current price of Regular in San Pedro is $12.17 and Diesel is at $11.26 per gallon. The decrease in price should follow in the next few days as the new shipment of gasoline arrives to the island.

With yesterday's massive fire at Venezuela's largest refinery, we can expect more price hikes in the future.

You know what gets me living in PG? Gas is a minimum of 20 cents higher per gallon and is delivered in a 5000 gallon tanker minimum. That means they are paid over 1000 dollars more just to drive it to PG. If that truck used at max 250 dollars of diesel to make the round trip, why do we pay so much more just to deliver it here?

Down to $2.00 a gallon here in Ohio.
Air fare still about $100 more than I paid last year.

Fuel Prices Start On The Rise

Tonight there is not much good news for consumers as the price of fuel, with the exception of Kerosene, has seen a slight increase. If you are a driver then you are well aware that for the past months consumers have been paying less for a gallon of premium, regular and diesel with the plunging of oil prices in the world market.

But the next time you visit the pumps you will be paying a bit more for the gallon of fuel of your choice as prices went up on Saturday.

With the increase consumers will now pay $8.87 per a gallon of premium as the price increased by seventy seven cents.

The price for a gallon of Regular fuel on the other hand, increased by nine cents as it now sells for $8.21 while the price for a gallon of diesel saw a hike of forty cents and now sells for $7.79.

As mentioned the only fuel that did not experience an increase is Kerosene which reduced by seventy three cents and now sells for $6.16.
