BeBelize, I doubt that May is the hottest month. Have you been there in August ?

One thing no one has mentioned is that any stay under 6 months is not considered long term and by law is supposed to be subject to Hotel Tax so unless you get lucky you won't be staying on a long term lease it will be via a short term Hotel rates. Some places may do a deal for a month stay but US$800 for what you want will be on the low side at US$26 per night inc tax.

I read this in a couple of different articles on Belize weather. Perhaps they had their facts incorrect. I was here on vacation in August 2010 and moved here in August 2011, and yes, they were also hot times. I honestly couldn't tell much difference between May and August, but that is just what I read. Either way, both months are pretty darn hot for anyone who is not acclimated.

Totally agree Ernie, I have recorded temps in late aug early sept that were way higher then the av for Belize, late aug early sept are usually the hottest, at least out at the caye.

Me too, Aug not only the hottest but seems to be highest in humidity too.
