Hi All,

I've been remiss in my pre-trip research duties; I usually have a much better handle on things but got lazy this trip.

It's our first visit to Belize. We're staying at Cocotal about 2.5 miles north of San Pedro and have not rented any transport.

What restaurant options would everyone recommend that are within walking distance? We do not need fancy, just good burger, pasta, fish fare.

Would you recommend renting transport?

Thanks!
DS

Thanks robvee. Looks like about 3k walk to the bridge, which is fine as we are active folks and relatively young.

Is it a safe walk in the evening?

Ive never had problems walking around at night , but you could rent two cycles a great way to get around the island How long are you staying for? Theres also a very good Chinese take away just over the bridge on the RH side There are good places your side of the bridge too

We're good for a bike rise, too. It might be the way to go. We'll be visiting for twelve days, so we might end up renting a cart for a few days to tour around. Then again, we might just scuba dive and eat and lounge in the sun!

Ak Bol is not too far away......just south of where you are staying........good food at a reasonable price.

Thanks! It does look very close. We'll have to stop in and give it a try.

Cheers,
